Yang Earth is the mountain: immovable, ancient, the thing the landscape is arranged around. It is the most stable of the ten day masters and the slowest to change.
People trust you on sight, often before you have done anything to earn it. You are the one who gets told things. You absorb other people's crises without visibly moving, which is why you accumulate dependents — friends, family, colleagues who have quietly outsourced their stability to you.
Nobody checks on a mountain. The characteristic Yang Earth failure is not collapse but slow, unnoticed erosion: years of carrying weight nobody registered as weight, including you.
In love
You are steady, undramatic and genuinely safe to be around. What you struggle with is expression — you show love by being present and unchanging, and partners who need words can be with you for years and still feel unsure. You also choose people who need you, which is not the same as choosing people who see you.
At work
Operations, management, infrastructure, law, property, anything where reliability compounds. You are the person an organisation is quietly built on. You do badly in fast pivots and in creative work that requires you to discard yesterday's decision.
What drains you
Wood parts Earth — in a chart, that is pressure and obligation, people and institutions with a claim on you. Too much Metal also drains you: Metal is what Earth produces, so environments that constantly extract your output will hollow you out slowly enough that you will not notice for a decade.
What your chart needs
Fire to warm you, which in practice means people and work that generate genuine enthusiasm. Cold Earth is inert, and Yang Earth is the day master most likely to end up dutiful and unlit.
