Your is the upper character of your day pillar — the one character in the chart that is you rather than your circumstances. Yin Earth is Earth in its yin temper: stability, holding, the impulse to keep.
Character
Yin Earth is cultivated ground: soil, garden, field. Where Yang Earth is the mountain that resists, Yin Earth is the earth that receives. It is the most accommodating of the ten day masters and the most quietly productive.
You are nurturing without being demonstrative about it. Things grow around you. You tend to be the person who made someone else's success possible and is not in the photograph, and you are usually fine with that until, abruptly, you are not.
The characteristic difficulty is boundary. Soil does not choose what is planted in it. Yin Earth people accumulate other people's projects, feelings and expectations, and can reach middle age having grown a great deal of somebody else's crop.
In love
You are attentive, practical and enormously accommodating — you adjust to your partner's needs so smoothly that neither of you notices the ledger. You need a partner who actively asks what you want, because you will not raise it, and resentment in Yin Earth is slow, silent and very hard to reverse once it sets.
At work
Support roles that are actually load-bearing: chief of staff, producer, editor, healthcare, teaching, anything where your work makes other work possible. You are frequently the reason a team functions and rarely the reason it is credited.
What drains you
Wood, as with Yang Earth, but you absorb it rather than resist it. Yin Earth under heavy Wood over-gives until something breaks. Excess Metal — constant extraction of your output — is the other reliable way to exhaust you.

A caveat worth reading
Yin Earth is the day master most likely to be described in a eulogy as "the one who held everything together". But a day master is one character out of eight. Two Yin Earth people born in different seasons read almost nothing alike — the same tree in and in deep winter is not the same tree.
