Generating Cycle

상생 · 相生

The loop where each element feeds the next: Wood feeds Fire, Fire feeds Earth, Earth feeds Metal, Metal feeds Water, Water feeds Wood.

The images behind it are literal. Wood burns into Fire. Fire leaves ash, which is Earth. Earth compresses into ore, which is Metal. Metal collects condensation, which is Water. Water grows Wood.

Being fed is not automatically good. An element that feeds you supports you; an element you feed drains you, because producing costs something. Whether support or drain is what you need depends entirely on whether your day master is strong or weak.
