Strong or Weak Day Master

Count what feeds your day master and what shares its element; weigh that against everything that drains, controls or is controlled by it. If support dominates, the day master is strong. If not, weak.

Neither is better. A strong day master has force and needs somewhere to spend it — without an outlet, the pushing turns inward. A weak day master has less force and needs support before it can carry what the chart hands it.

Almost every practical judgement — which years help you, which element you want more of, what kind of work suits you — depends on this one call, which is why readers argue about it more than anything else in the system.
