Bazi

八字

The Chinese name for the same system Korea calls Saju — literally "eight characters".

Saju and Bazi describe the same calculation. The differences are in emphasis and in reading tradition rather than in the maths: Korean practice tends to lean harder on the ten gods and on practical timing questions, while Chinese practice often gives more weight to structural classification.

If you find a Bazi calculator and a Saju calculator disagreeing, it is almost always a time-correction difference, not a doctrinal one.
